Women in the world

Project Details: Conceptual Project

I conceptualized this project and prototyped a set of functional interfaces to explore how women’s interests and concerns correspond with those of other women in different societies.  The backbone of this idea is the data visualization of the atlas of women in the world, a comprehensive and accessible analysis of global data on the key issues facing women today: equality, motherhood, feminism, the culture of beauty, women at work, women in the global economy, changing households, domestic violence, lesbian rights, women in government, and more.

Women can fill out questions about their living conditions, their concerns and give us an insight into their lives.  They can then match themselves to other women and their stories and perhaps get a better idea of what it  would be like to be part of another society, even imagine how these differences in cultural identity would influcence their points of view.
