Nonetheless, there are ways of shedding some light on women's stays and quality of life, The Gender Development Index (GD!) provides one such surrogate measure. Developed by the United Nations Development Program, the GDI ranks countries according to a set of basic "quality of life” measures, such as literacy and income, to the degree of gender disparity In each measure. This interactive tool aim to explore how women's interests, concerns and lifestyles compare and contra.st across different societies using GDI's data.
